Royal Navy Victorian Long Service and Good Conduct Medal

Awarded to F.B Dean CD Btn. H.M Coastguard. Fredrick Beauchamp Dean was born on 3rd March 1858 at Stoke Damerel, Devon. He enlisted on his 18th Birthday, March 1876 and originally signed up for 10 years as a 'boy 2nd class' (on the Impregnable). He was noted to be 4ft 10 tall with a ruddy fresh complexion. Fredrick served on various ships including Cambridge, Vernon, Bellisle, Defence and Royal Adelaide. He finally made the rank of Chief Boatman around 1882 and was pensioned off 2nd February 1913.

The naming is impressed with what looks like the original ribbon and he does not appear to beg entitled to any other medals.

Condition as shown in photographs.
