The badge consists of a circular plaque bearing the Royal Cypher and surrounded by the words 'For Faithful Service'.
The plaque is superimposed on a 7-pointed star surmounted by a crown and ring for suspension.
It was issued as a means of rewarding long and faithful service in the administrative and clerical grades of the Civil Service at home and overseas.
Medal named on reverse- William C. Reed. Housed in its original box by Elkington 22 Regent St London. (Clasp with Elkington's details on reverse.)
