This is a genuine star medal dated 1884-6. A 5-pointed Star with a circular centre showing the Sphinx and Pyramids surrounded by a band inscribed 'Egypt' 1884-6.
The reverse- the Khedive's monogram surrounded by a crown.
The star is suspended by a ring from an ornamental clasp with a star and crescent.
The star was struck by Jenkins of Birmingham, conferred by Khedive Tewfik of Egypt.
These stars were issued unnamed.
